How to randomly assign a set of questions to different participants?

I have a project survey in which I need to ask participants to pairwise compare different elements.

I have 2 sets of questions which I would like to randomly assign to incoming participants: half of the participants should get a set of questions and the second half the other set. Both sets of questions find themselves in the middle of the questionnaire, meaning after participants go through one set or another, there are some questions which all participants shall answer.

As I am new to Questback Unipark tool, I would like to kindly ask you to help me. I know it is a matter of filtering and triggering, but what would the coding be in this case?
Or is there another way to do this easier?

I would really appreciate if you could help me.
Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards!

Hi Andreea,

there are different ways to equally distribute participants into different Filter paths.

There's a tutorial for this topic:

Maybe you would want to go through this one, of course you can ask back here if you have any problems following the individual steps.

Hello Jens,

Thank you very much for your answer.

I tried to follow the steps of the first way by using a random trigger.
I created an user defined variable with values from 1 and 2 ( I need 2 filter paths because there are 2 sets of questions).

First question is regarding where to place the trigger, I am not certain I placed it in the right place. I placed it before the 2 sets of questions start (in the question before). Do you think it is right?

Second question is regarding the two filters. I placed each filter right before each set of questions. What would the conditions and code be for the two filters in order for every 2 participants to get the same set of questions?

I don't know if I explained very precisely, so maybe it would be easier if you had a look over the project (ID is 444038).

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,

Hi Andreea,

I just had a look at your survey, the way you have set it up is perfectly fine.
