Hiding conditions disappearing with mandatory (can be ignored) questions
Hello,
Project-ID: 370166
Page-ID: 2292921
Question type: 361 (with custom scale/drop-down menu)
Browsers: Firefox, IE, Chrome
Request: Currently, I have a variety of hiding conditions on the last page of my survey. Depending on answers in previous questions, some appear and some are hidden. The question in itself has drop-down menus, and was made “Mandatory – Can be ignored.” At the moment, when someone ignores the question and tries to proceed to the end of the questionnaire, he is brought back in order to answer “I want to leave question x blank […]” which is fine but the questions/answers that were hidden with the aforementioned hiding conditions now appear. The questions that are supposed to be hidden are irrelevant if the person did not choose the related answers previously, and the corresponding #v_# variables were never answered, which causes a lot of confusion (answers appear as -77). I’ve tried tweaking the hiding conditions and hypothesized that adding additional hiding conditions related to the last page might help, but it would be quite tedious and was wondering if there was a more proper way to fix this.
I thank you for your time,
Vincent
